This carefully cast film has Konkona Sen Sharma, Raima Sen, Shahana Goswami, Shreyas Talpade, Rajpal Yadav, Boman Irani, Sushant Singh, Arunoday Singh, Prem Chopra playing the various characters. With special appearances by Saurabh Shukla & Tisca Chopra.

More than anything, it is a structural marvel. The narrative weaves four stories with that of the main story. Revolves round the protagonist Maanav, a committed struggling filmmaker. His girlfriend, a successful film editor, arranges for him to meet a film producer, who is not very impressed by Maanav’s script. Maanav then suggests four stories on infidelity, woven together by a common story.

Mirch is directed by the national award winner Vinay Shukla who has been an active scriptwriter and director of Hindi films over the last three decades. His films have had the distinctions of not only succeeding at the box office but also garnering critical acclaim and prestigious awards. His most well-known film, Godmother (starring Shabana Azmi) clearly established him as a talented craftsman capable of integrating the nuances of good cinema within the popular narrative form.
